Covered decks offer protection from weather conditions such as rain and snow allowing you to enjoy quality time outdoors any time of the year.
Screened in decks offer protection from the elements as well as bugs and also provide a more private setting for enjoying your outdoor space.
A pergola protects you from excessive sunlight and light rain making it possible for you to spend more quality time outside on hot afternoons.
If you’re looking to add a covered deck, screened-in deck, or pergola to your outdoor living space, give Ketchie Street Renovations a call. Our decks are ideal for any type of climate, as they provide protection from the sun and rain while still allowing the breeze to flow through. In the winter, they also help reflect heat back into your home.
Our goal is to ensure that the end product is the outdoor space of your dreams. For that reason, we consider many factors including roof style, preferred decking material, landscaping, and furniture options when preparing to build your covered deck. We design and build all of our covered decks with safety in mind.
Anson and his crew were great to work with! They did awesome work, held our hands through any hiccups and were just overall nice people to have at our home during the process. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for similar projects. We had an existing deck demo, complete rebuild and a front porch addition.

Ketchie Street Renovations extended our deck 10’x10’ with reinforcements to support the weight of our new hot top along with a privacy wall and bench. Anson was very responsive, throughly answered my millions of questions, and graciously tolerated my indecisiveness even when we asked to make a change the day of the build.

Deck Build, Privacy Wall in Charlotte, NC
The time it takes to build a deck will depend on many factors, such as your budget, the size of your deck, what type of materials you are using, and whether or not it is a new construction. For example, if you were building a new small deck for one story home with one set of stairs, the project could be done in 1-3 days. If you had to tear down an old deck, install new concrete, and build a large deck, it could take up to two weeks. On average, though most projects should be able to be finished in 3-4 days.
We use several different types of decking for the projects we complete for customers. The top four types of decking we use are pressure treated decking, Trex composite decking, ModernView composite decking, and Deckorators composite decking.
From time to time we hire subcontractors for tasks such as painting, construction clean up, grading, and other jobs of that nature. As far as deck building, we have our own team for handling these projects from start to finish.
